ON THE INSIDE WITH TINA BARRY

Merchandising as an Art Form: a Peek Inside Pitti Bimbo's Floor Displays and Booth Designs - Part II

KIDS' DESIGN

The large, modern Padiglione Centrale where the Kids' Design vendors grouped, had more of a trade show feeling than the older buildings. The lines though, as well as the dramatic displays, were just as impressive.

For Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, bright is always right.

Anna Purna puts the faces of need front and center.

A very hip, very chic doll at Barbie.

Live fairies are ready to turn the frog into a prince at Laura Biagiotti's enchanted world of water creatures, lilies and a magical lake.

A girl's boudoir is the backdrop for the white finery at Monnalisa.

Oilily's theme for spring and summer is "Paradise Found."

At Oilily's booth, artisans selected fabrics and trim to create one-of-a-kind bags for customers.

A COLLECTION WITH DRIVE

Ferrari set up its motor driven collection in the formidable Teatrino Lorenese, a large building near the funky Superstreet section.

SUPERSTREET

The Superstreet area featured collections that were strongly denim driven and, as the name implies, inspired by street wear. The bright street signs, lights and strong, graphic wall stickers lent the space an eye-popping, super-fueled effect.

Superstreet's vibrant sign and graphics contrasts with the casually elegant outdoor setting at Gas.

Guru's collection is a feast for the eyes.

The dining continues at Miss Sixty.

SPORT

The collections in the Padiglione Cavaniglia exhibition hall fell under the heading "Sport" but the looks were more varied than the name implied. Lines of sportswear - both active and elegant - were included in this division.

Hogan footwear spells it out.
