Established Collections at Fall 2008 Bubble - Part I Booths at the Fall 2008 Bubble -The Kids Trade Show held a smorgasbord of worldwide designers. Inside the showcases were collections with styles as diverse as the manufacturers. You'll see in the photos below, clean and modern groups, some sweetly classic, those with vintage charm and others offering a chic turn on grunge.
INFANT AND UP BLACK RABBIT Homebase: Agoura, CA DESIGNER: Marguerite De Balincourt Sizes: 12 months to 6 years; Wholesale prices: $22-$80 De Balincourt relies on a few simple, easy-to-move in shapes and a couple of modern prints to build her collections. This season, she's big on dots and hearts.

SCOUT Homebase: Oakland, CA DESIGNER: Mimi Leinbach Sizes: NB to 4T; Wholesale prices: Contact manufacturer Leinbach is rounding out her appliquéd organic cotton collection of tees and leggings with cute solids and stripes as well as practical cotton and spandex blends.

TODDLER AND UP CC3 DESIGNS Homebase: Oakland, CA DESIGNER: Cathleen Chua Schulte Sizes: NB to 8 years; Wholesale prices: $10-$39 There's no relying on pattern or trim in Schulte's designs. They're all about color, the drape of the material and clean lines.

FABLE & LORE Homebase: Bayonne, NJ DESIGNER: Kaia Canales Sizes: Girls and boys 2 to 12 years; Wholesale prices: $40-$105 Remember the Mood Ring of the Sixties? Fable Lore plays off of the light-altering idea. All their designs utilize nontoxic SolarActive inks and embroideries. The inks and threads change color as a child moves from indoors to out and vise versa. The coats change color when the temperature dips below 50 degrees. It's a cute gimmick, but nothing sells if the garments don't measure up to the technique. Whether they change color or not, Canales creates arresting, modern pieces with a touch of fairy tale magic.
