For Spring 2009, she visited Oscar Niemeyer's Metropolitan Cathedral in Brazil, an inspiring structure meant to resemble a challis. Inside, the long stained glass windows cast a glow of colored light in the vast space. Meyer channels the important elements of Niemeyer's glorious building (below) into her own piece of modern art.
