Schwengle launched the line with three serene color palettes: gray, white, aqua, teal and lime; dusty lilac, dusty plum, white, light blue and cocoa; and banana, cocoa, taupe and white. The cotton knit layette wear features simple shapes with delicate embroidery designs that match some of the cutest crocheted slippers in the market. Add blankets, bibs, sheets and bumpers in coordinating color combinations, throw in a few adorable knit toys and finger puppets, and a retailer has a display that will elicit oohs and aahs. SWIMWEAR MAMAOM Homebase: Key Biscayne, FL DESIGNER: Maria Florido Sizes: 12 months to 6T; Wholesale prices for swimsuits: $10-$50 Florido, a mother and resident of Miami, looked for two things when she sought Mommy and me outfits: age appropriate styles for herself and infant daughter, and, as an environmentalist, she insisted on organic fabrics and nontoxic inks. What she found were items that were too dowdy for both mother and daughter manufactured with all sorts of man-made goods. Not willing to settle, Florido launched Mamaom, an online store and now wholesale collection offering sexy, organic swimsuits for mom and adorable bikinis for a little girls, mom and baby tees, dresses, tunics and leggings.

KNITWEAR OX-KIDS Homebase: New York, NY DESIGNER: Caroline Cameron Sizes: 3 months to 4 years; Wholesale prices: $24-$65 Cameron employs lama wool for her fine "Cashlama" knit pieces and blankets. Hand knit in Peru, the items are light and almost creamy in their softness. There are no dyes or bleaching of the fibers; every color is straight from the animal. Each piece has low pillage and is hand washable.
