Children's Club January 2010: Early Fall 2010 - Hope You Like Purple - Part I The recent ENK Children's Club (January 10-12, 2010 in New York) show was small and held collections with the usual little of this little of that mix of seasons. What I did see in many of the Fall 2010 lines was purple. Lots of purple. And rose and gray and electric blue, too. If you're thinking that I'm getting lazy and "repurposing" last fall's report where I predicted the same colors would be popular, you're wrong. There isn't a big change in color direction. What keeps Fall 2010 from being too déjà vu though, is great prints (think mushrooms), bold plaids, wonderful down vests and jackets and a strong "Best of the 1970s" feeling. Add folkloric patterns and embroidery to the mix and you've got a season with lots of whimsy.
