Change Is Coming: A Fresh Start for Fall 2010 - Part I
Let's agree to say, "Enough with 2009." Let's embrace fall with renewed energy for the upcoming year and renewed faith in the spirit of the kids' industry to forge ahead. That's what the established designers below did at Children's Club (March 7-9, 2010). Each manufacturer exhibited collections ripe with gorgeous color, arresting prints and innovative shapes. There was a great sense of pride in the materials chosen, much of it organic, and the ethical ways in which the collections were produced.

Outstanding piece: What's cozier than a velour dress? A velour dress with matching leggings. With a dropped waist, puffed sleeves and ruffle detail, the piece has nostalgic touches. The mixed prints and pretty embroidery on the skirt make it modern.

Her collection of modern, cotton knit designs always includes warm blue, soft lilac and delicate periwinkle. The colors pair well with her sweet, uncluttered designs.
Outstanding piece: A great print gets even better when a strategically placed diagonal interrupts its rhythm.

Her Pima cotton knit pieces for fall, mix-and-match easily and have touches such as snaps at the neckline and lettuce edges that lend impact.
