Amanda Dimova is into leather. She comes by the obsession naturally; her parents launched Bear Feet Shoes in 1985. "I always had an interest in making things out of leather. After graduating college in 2008, I decided to come manage the factory." Since then, Dimova has been adding new, colorful styles to the company's popular accessory and shoe collections. Dimova keeps her eyes on trends. "Bear Feet customers are mothers who want the best, most stylish things for their children. In addition to having lots of colors to choose from, they appreciate the quality and attention to detail. Last but not least, they are trend setters and are the first to wear a new style," Dimova says. Nature is an important source for the designer's creativity. "Leaves, flowers, animals, I'm inspired by all of it. Also, the materials I have at hand give me new ideas. For example, we got a swatch of beautiful bronze-colored leather that in itself created a whole new product." For spring, the soft-soled pigskin leather shoes, cut wide to accommodate growing "bear" feet, are sewn in a variety of rich neutrals and metallics with accents of orange, green and fuchsia. Suede, red rhinestones and black patent leather create arresting surface textures.
The super soft, Wingtips reference dad's shoes but are 100 times comfier.
The aptly named Cool Boot supports the foot and looks elegant doing it.
