FYI: Their headquarters are located in Carnegie Hill, the upper east side of Manhattan which is the bastion of 'preppy' (the land of pink and green indeed); this is Alyssa's fifth year in business and she began making clothes for her nephews. Funky Junque An extensive, trend driven collection of accessories Wholesale: $2 - $42 Sizes: Girls 4 - 6X, Girls 7 - 14, Preteen, Juniors Standouts: The big fat chunky pearls; fabric covered wide head bands in assorted prints and patterns; the perforated patent belts; the belts with rhinestone covered butterfly and heart shaped buckles.

FYI: It all began when Wendy's daughter Rubi was born; she found a hat she adored but it didn't fit properly so she used the hat to create a perfect fitting model…last year she added a baby clothing line. FYI: Danielle originally started the company because it was impossible to find a belt narrow enough for her nephew (who was skinny); Myself Belts now has a patent on their "one handed" belt which snaps around a belt loop so it is guaranteed to stay put. FYI: They have been in business since 1986 but this is their first Children's Club Show. Everything is made in Spain and all items must pass safety standards (for example, nothing is lead based). Little Miss Matched A collection of innovative, colorful, graphic- patterned accessories for "kids of all ages" Designer: Jonah Staw Sizes: "Kids of all ages" (but the target group is 'tweens', moms, and grandmas) Wholesale: $2.50 - $10 Standouts: The brightly patterned mismatched socks (ditto the gloves which are sold in threes); the eye catching and graphic bedding.
FYI: Jonah has a background in product design and as he put it, the original premise of the company was to "convince the world they don't have to wear matching socks." (Jonah, clad in his mismatched socks, was his own best model at the Children's Club). The colors of the collection are picked by a woman who's a member of the Color Association of America. Rachel Riley High quality, beautifully crafted French made shoes and clothing Designer: Rachel Riley Retail: $109 - $179 Sizes: Infant, toddler, girls 4 - 6X, Girls 7 - 14, Pre teen, Boys 4 - 7 Standouts: The little boys' cowhide leather lace up, T-strap and suede slip on shoes; the infant peep toe silver T-strap; the leopard printed pony skin, gold, silver, and red metallic Mary Janes. Only the softest materials are used and the shoes are stitched inside (rather than the other way around).
FYI: The British born Ms. Riley has been in business for 12 years but this is only her second Children's Club; she has two shops in London and opened a store in Manhattan, located at 1286 Madison Avenue (between 91 and 92 streets) about a year ago; she boasts a devoted (and fashionable) roster of celebrity customers, including Rod Stewart, Kate Moss, Sienna Miller, Carolina Herrera, Kate Spade.
