Spring
Trend: Island Idyll. Beachside sunsets set the color
palette for spring-summer 2014, while island flowers and
fauna dominate patterns, graphics and fanciful appliques.
Here, from the baby collection, Persnickety
mixes land and sea in an adorable T-shirt and flowered
bloomers.
The palette and patterns of
Cindy Estes' Seam
Collection are all romance:
sherbet tones and cream, butterflies and flowers in
bloom, while the shapes reflect modern, easy living. Each
machine washable and dryable garment, such as the eyelet
Grace Dress, and the Alison Dress (shown here), possess a
feminine touch: a three-inch grosgrain ribbon that serves
as a belt on the Grace Dress, and the Alison Dress'
charming contrasting center insert. (Fits 6 to 18 months,
and 2 to 16 years, $17-$49 wholesale.) For more
information, call 800-474-4055, or visit seamcollection.com.

It takes a versatile
designer to successfully create girly-girl tulle frocks
and jersey sportswear and present them as one unified,
well-conceived collection. Ary at Stella
Industries has done just
that with her spring-summer 2014 collection. She's proven
herself as the master of tulle, letting the filmy
material do its ballet-like thing yet staying away from
anything that smacks of a costume. On the other hand, her
draped tops and skinny leggings look fresh, fun and ready
for the surfside. (Fits 12 months to 16, approximately
$13-$41 wholesale.) For more information, call

Milan-based
Amelia's
spring 2014 collection employs "handmade touches that
underline the continuous search for a poetic and refined
language." There's poetry in the delicate pleats and
hand-sewn fabric "corsages," and, like poetry, the
palette is honed to a few neutral shades such as cream
and oatmeal that, when combined, with more saturated
tones of emerald and slate, offer a lot of impact. A few
early favorites include Calipso, a delicately pleated
cotton voile blouse, and the Vivian linen skirt, an
important fabric in this line. The tunic shaped Fidel for
boys in Liberty cotton, and silky cotton Ryan five-pocket
pants, make an elegant statement. (Fits NB to 8 years.)

showroom at 718-232-0012, or visit ameliamilano.it.
I was as excited as you are
for a sneak peek at Mim-Pi's
Ibiza spring-summer 2014 collection. And boy am I
impressed! Leonora Nieuwenhuizen and her design team
traveled to Ibiza where they worked with local stylists
and artisans to create a collection that reflects a
vibrant "gypsy-tribal-hippie lifestyle." The collection,
says the designer, "is colorful and hip, each piece
lavishly decorated with signature Mim-Pi details and
accessories." The shapes flow, and the palette takes off
from fall with ultramarine, fuchsias and limes amped to
the max. (Fits 6 months to 10 years. Contact manufacturer
for pricing.) For more information, call curlygirlsinc.com
