PATCH – January 1, 2021 – Two local business owners will ring in the new year by celebrating the grand opening of their new location in downtown Doylestown, PA.

Seedlings & Sprouts, a children’s clothing boutique, will open its doors at 21 E. State St. at 10 a.m., Sat., Jan. 2.

When the Mercantile at Doylestown opened earlier this year, Briana Lurye and her business partner, Jacque Carroll, saw an opportunity. The pair had already been printing and designing clothes and felt it was time to utilize a physical space to showcase their products.

“We got really great feedback at the Mercantile,” Lurye said. “We took the idea and just ran with it.”

The experiment was so successful that the pair is moving into their own brick-and-mortar space on East State Street that was formerly occupied by Monkey’s Uncle until the business moved to a bigger location on South Main Street earlier this year.
