Kenzie + Co. Children’s Boutique is expected to open later this month at 5670 38th Ave. S. Suite E. in Fargo, ND.

March 2, 2021 – Inforum – When she realized Tootsie’s Children’s Boutique was outgrowing its home in the Veterans Square development here, McKenzie Kjos saw an opportunity to open a second store.

On Monday, March 1, Kjos relocated the store that sells children’s clothing in sizes ranging from preemie to size 6 to the BLU 32 development at 4600 32nd Ave. S. Suite 100.

Later this month, the 27-year-old entrepreneur will open Kenzie + Co. Kids Boutique in its place at 5670 38th Ave. S. Suite E. The boutique will pick up where Tootsie’s left off, carrying children’s clothing in sizes 6 to 16.

Kjos grew up interested in fashion and got her first break selling women’s clothing at Apricot Lane in West Acres. After about four years, she stepped out on her own to open Tootsie’s Children’s Boutique.

She attributes her success to loyal customers. That’s held true during the coronavirus pandemic.
