Nash put the rockabilly vibe into boys' clothing with her beloved Knucklehead's collection. Now she's set her sights on girls and the result is a small line of dame-meets-sailor pieces.

Favorites: This little plaid number is ideal for a stroll on the boardwalk.

JOULES CLOTHING USA

Theme: Fresh classics

I fell in love with this collection's palette of robin's egg blue, pale banana, a red that straddles the line between cherry and raspberry and a navy that, with its washed down hue, is more evocative than the traditional blazer blue. Then two of the prints - a tossed floral with large chrysanthemums and a beautifully illustrated border pattern that edged a breezy sundress - made me swoon. When I noticed that the top of the dress was entirely pleated, I was a goner.

Favorites: This dress is the ideal combination of softness and spunk.

JACOB & JULES

Theme: Boys' sportswear and European elan

This was the second show for the UK-based company that "crossed the pond" for the first time in July. One of several labels under the Flyers Group PLC, Jacob & Jules offers boys upper-end looks such as frayed edges and washed down appliqués at reasonable price-points.

Favorites: This shirt is so light it practically floats. The frayed edges and hand-sprayed details lend the item one-of-a-kind appeal.

LUNCHBOX

Homebase: Studio City, CA

DESIGNER: Liz Woodruff

Sizes: 3 months to 6 years; Wholesale prices: $15-$60

Theme: Grown up shapes with a child's sensibility

Woodruff works with an understated palette of navy, cream and charcoal. The silhouettes of her girl's group are picked right off adult runways, with vintage style short jackets, high-waist pants and smock tops. What keeps the line childlike is a slight exaggeration to the shapes and a playful mix of texture.

Favorites: There's something very Audrey Hepburn on the Riviera about this nautically inspired threesome.

SCOOP KIDS

DESIGNER: Stephanie Greenfield

Theme: Glamour on the beach

If Lunchbox's aesthetic is reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn on the beach, Scoop Kids, a spin-off of the popular Scoop adult line, channels Maria Callas on Ari's yacht tanning on the Mediterranean. The collection of dresses, beach caftans and separates exudes drop-dead glamour.

Favorites: The navy caftan in light, silky crinkled cotton is embroidered in silver metallic thread. Imagine it over a bikini or atop slim white pants.

This ecru colored frock is no heavier than a ribbon. Pieces of exquisite, real antique lace are pieced into the collar and the sleeves. Not sure how to "do" vintage? Here's your answer.
