More Fall 2008 Trends: Breaking Hues Since my Fall 2008 trend report was posted in January, a few strong color trends have emerged. At the recent ENK Children's Club and Bubble - The Kids Trade Show (March 9-11, 2008), I noticed rich, saturated colors - especially plum - appearing in both girls' and boys' collections. Combinations of tomato red and dark cocoa are replacing blue and brown pairings, and gray is as important as ever. For the first time, I'm including photos of manufacturers' collections as they hang on the racks, as well as mannequin displays, so you can see not only individual colors, but entire palettes.

-Oeuf showed rich mauvey pink paired with brick that had a purplish cast.
-Cosmetic tones of pink, cream and taupe from newcomer Noro.
-Rose and gray from Ses Petites Mains.
Reds: -Pimento and chocolate from Black Rabbit.
-Rich red, charcoal and cream from newcomer Amelia.
-Floriane dressed up plaids in red and cocoa.
