ENK Spring/Summer 2011 Established Lines: On the Rebound - Part I Let's call children's wear designers "cautiously optimistic." That's the impression I got at the ENK Children's Club (August 1-3, 2010) after I heard: "Fewer buyers. Bigger orders" from many exhibitors. To keep the retailers who hung in there happy, some manufacturers scaled down their offerings, others expanded, and, for the most part, prices were reasonable. As for themes, can you say "nautical"?

Celebrities like it too. Outstanding piece: The Ruffle Dress with the classic pink and cocoa dot combination and a simple unadorned bodice, made it to the big time when it was worn by Charlotte's little girl in "Sex and the City 2." The dress may be the one thing anyone appreciated in that film!

Outstanding pieces: To pair with her quirky colored cotton knits, Chrem has added richly hued, fine-wale corduroy shorts with ties at the side. They're not too poofy, so they don't look like knickers.
