Fall/Winter 2011 At ENK Children's Club: Cold Outside; Heating Up Indoors Did you feel the charge in the air at ENK Children's Club (January 23-25, 2011)? I did. The mood was upbeat with new and established manufacturers exhibiting well-edited collections. While looks were all over the style map, in girls' collections jewel tones and ruffles ruled; while deep hues and narrower shapes lent an elegant edge to boys' rugged separates.

Staying true to her style, Cammareri deepens her stonewashed palette and keeps her penchant for ruffles in check.  Outstanding Pieces: Talk about sophisticated. This plaid cape is plucked right off the women's catwalks where cape shapes made a big impact. The narrow pants with a combination of fabrics add textural interest. Drop-waists define many of the girls' looks, while boys' pieces possess a certain cheeky charm  Outstanding Pieces: An oversized collar frames a pretty face while belt detailing creates a flattering line in the Francis P. coat. Some like ruffles and color and pattern. For the ruffled folks, Eliane et Lena is the first booth they hit first.  Outstanding Piece: How many trends can you work into one outfit? Outstanding Piece: A jumper, no matter how pretty the fabric is, can be a little ho-hum. Connaughton updated the look with an interesting two-tone effect and tied it with an unexpected, flirty grosgrain ribbon. Funny how a couple of tweaks can make all the difference.
