Between the Shows: January 2, 2009 Editor's Note: Some of our sponsor companies prefer to keep their children's businesses out of the national and regional trade show circuits (or at least not attend all the shows every season). So to keep you abreast of collections you won't find (or find infrequently) in trade venues, we've started this new column. We think you'll like our "Between the Shows" reviews as much as you've told us you enjoy our "Trade Show Reports" coverage.
WEE REVOLUTION (FORMERLY WEE WEE WEAR) Homebase: Detroit, MI DESIGNER: Karry Brook Sizes: NB to 4T; Wholesale prices: $4.50-$14 "Little clothes. Big impressions." Designer Karry Brook's motto for Wee Revolution, the business she launched in 2006, is "Little clothes. Big impressions." She could add "important goals" to the credo. In order to offer top-notch customer service, Brook's designs are created in-house and dyed in small production runs. "The new collection consists of more bold, original graphics hand screen-printed on cotton and organic cotton from the USA. Our pieces are garment-dyed and preshrunk. The silhouettes are basic for easy pairing and layering - only the best for your wee one," says Brook. "The inspiration for the collection is a combination of fairy tales, 'going green,' and a lot of what my 3 year old son likes!" she adds. Brook's graphic provides a road map to a child's imagination.
This comfortable dress or easy tunic offers a girl modern design with a touch of folkloric whimsy.
It took mom nine months, not that anyone is counting. Wee Revolution Tel: 313-703-7754 E-mail: karry@weerevolution.com
