Fall/Winter 2011 Children's Club: The 'Ideas' of March - Footloose and Fancy Free (socks, leggings, tights, legwear) It's not just the Ides of March, but the 'ideas' of March, where the March ENK Children's Club (March 6-8, 2011) is concerned. Indeed, it's not just about products and items that look good, but that have a good idea behind them. As I covered the trade show, in search of the best of the best for infants to tweens, in the 'accessory' arena, I kept thinking about the 'BIG' idea behind the line, the product, or in the best cases, both! These are some of the ones that stood out this time around.
The socks kids ask for by name Wholesale: $1.50 - $6.75 Sizes: Boys 4 - 7, Boys 8 - 20, Girls 4 - 6X, Girls 7 - 14, Infant, Layette, Preemie, Toddler What's the BIG idea? The originators of the original hand- linked seamless socks (the ultimate in comfort), the company's mission and their goal, (ever since their founding in 1985), has been to create "happy feet" and to offer the highest quality at a good price and each season, they add new whimsical prints and patterns to their little girls' and boys' socks and tights lineup. 
Standouts: The brand new 'Glow in the Dark' socks (all the better to see the outstanding patterns!) in a dinosaur pattern and Halloween themed print; the boys' socks in assorted graphic patterns (Camo, Box car stripe, Ahoy Matey!, Dueling Knights. 
Standouts: The little girls socks printed with hearts, cupcakes, large dots, and the purrty kitty print.

Unique baby collection of infant booties Wholesale: $3 - $11 Sizes: 0 - 12 months What's the BIG idea? High quality, eye catching, and fabulously original baby booties which are 'gift ready' in an adorable box personalized for each collection.

Design and color for kids of all ages Designer: Emily Coleman Wholesale: $2 - $10 Sizes: Boys 4 - 7, Boys 8 - 20, Girls 4 - 6X, Girls 7 - 14, Infant, Layette, Preemie, Toddler What's the BIG idea? This company is 'all about' "colorful, bold, and fun" (not to mention 'pattern'!) and while Jefferies Socks began as a hosiery manufacturer for men and women, they subsequently branched out to include the children's market (and this division has been growing and expanding ever since). Above, all, they aim to please, are very customer oriented, and (almost) no request is ignored. Standouts: The boundless selection of cotton blend footless and footed tights for fall (from lurex threaded solids to graphic oversized dots and animal patterns, etc.) sized for newborns up to 10 years of age; the adorable newborn and baby tights with ruffled 'tush'. 
Standouts: The too cute for words newborn and infant sized crochet shoes.

An established brand specializing in socks and tights for babies Wholesale: For more information, contact the company directly Ages: Newborn to 15 What's the BIG idea? Known as the "one-stop shop for children's legwear", this well known iconic brand is also known for their tights, and they have taken this to a new level this season, with their new leggings packaged as legwear in a variety of quite fashionable, 'on trend' incarnations 
Standouts: 'Denim' look alike (down to the contrast stitching) packaged leggings; the graphic boys' knee highs.

This global manufacturer of socks and underwear has just partnered with Zutano, to create this brand new line of innovative booties, tights, socks, and footwear for 'fashionable' infants and toddlers, which are very much in keeping with the Zutano name (thus, the use of joyful color, whimsical prints and patterns, the use of advanced fabric yarns, and eye-catching packaging).
