From Intermix To New Retail Concept: How This Fashion Founder Designed A Successful Round Two that Includes Kids’ Retailing

November 30, 2018 – Forbes – The only thing better than a first act is a second one. And Sari Sloane, former fashion director turned partner at Intermix and now founder of the new retail concept, The Westside and Everafter, is currently proving that round two can be just as successful, especially in retail.

As the wife of Haro Keledjian, the cofounder of luxe fashion retailer Intermix (Keledjian launched the retailer with his brother, Khajak Keledjian), Sloane and Keledjian are a legitimate power fashion couple. They sold Intermix to the Gap Inc. in 2012 for $130 million and returned to the retail landscape with the launches of The Westside and Everafter (located in side-by-side spots).

The Westside is a California-inspired boutique with a laid-back luxury feel and collection of womenswear, menswear, accessories, beauty, apothecary, and home goods. Its first location opened in September 2017 in New York’s Tribeca neighborhood (followed by locations on Madison Avenue, in Long Island, and on the West Coast in Santa Monica; both The Westside and Everafter are opening a pop-up location in Aspen, the first week of December until March).
