January 22, 2019 – Community Impact Newspaper – A lack of trendy clothing for her son led Mary Bowen to open a children’s boutique six years ago.

“I thought oh my gosh, there’s a niche here,” said Bowen, owner of Hipster Baby. “And so I just decided to start my own business online and quit my corporate job, and my little guy became my muse.”

Hipster Baby in Richardson, TX carries an eclectic variety of clothing, which Bowen says reflects her own personal style.

“I’m more like L.A. California cool, you know, beachy-surfer-skateboarding-type style,” she said.

The shop offers clothing for newborns to 10-year-olds and includes everything from beanies to bell bottoms.
